Sugar Camp Hollow
There are three hollows that branch out from Trammel Creek. Our property catches just the end of the three branching hollows. This is one of them.

Funeral Bells
Galerina marginata has an apt common name: funeral bells. One nibble and you're a goner.

American Beech
Small American Beech trees stand out beautifully on the winter forest-scape.

Winged Elm
Ulmus alata or winged elm is a structurally stunner, especially in the winter.

Cardinals in Flight

Turkey Tail
Trametes versicolor is one of the most common shelf mushrooms I see. It grows year round on decaying wood. It's not easily identifiable from the color because it varies. This blue hue is my personal favorite.

Mycena citrinomarginata
I believe this little mushroom goes by the catchy name Mycena citrinomarginata. It's found near trees in the leaf litter and in an among other fungi on rotting wood. I found it next to a rotting black cherry log growing in the ground.
